Do you remember those cloth "quiet books" that Mom or Grandma made, where you got to button, or tie, or zip something up? Story Time Felts has this toddler quiet book called the Can Do Book - as in "I can do it!" There are soft felt pages to turn that are glued back to back, and in between each there are felt pieces to move around on each scene. Little ones can play "Old Mc Donald" or match shapes, they can play telephone and learn their numbers, and they can play peekaboo with baby chicks. It is so cute! My favorite is the page where you can change the weather in the window and dress up the elephant in his raincoat! It was also voted "best travel toy" by Dr. Toy since it is so portable and self-contained. Purely non-toxic and made in the USA, this is a winner for those summer road trips!

The only cons would be that there are quite a few pieces that if they aren't put back in their pockets can get out of control! The pros would be that this toy encourages verbals skills and imagination, and is something fun to do together as well, and will create memories. It is a quiet toy and all the pieces are washable!

I recommend this product to anyone with children from birth to 4. With the little babies you would want to put the tiny pieces away till later but they would still delight in the bright colors and soft felt. Toddlers can begin playing the games and preschoolers can learn their phone number! This is a toy that will grow with your child and remain a keepsake for them. You can buy it as a kit where you cut it out and glue it yourself, or you can buy it already made. It also would make a great baby shower gift!
