Bissell ProDry Carpet and Rug Cleaner (Congratulations to our winner: sally!!)
Think there's absolutely no way to get that living room carpet clean before your guests arrive in less than an hour? Well think again. Bissell has just come out with an amazing new home cleaning system to erase that new ghastly spot in the middle of your living room rug as you're putting the finishing touches on the hors d'oeurves while running around putting all the toys away and making sure the dirty laundry isn't escaping from the kids' bedrooms!
The new ProDry from Bissell was created with us moms in mind. It will deep clean and reviatlize your carpets and area rugs in less than 30 minutes, including drying time! Just perfect for those last minute touch ups as well as every day cleaning while the kids are napping.
And guess what, one lucky MothersClick member will get to experience their very own ProDry! Just post your favorite "my messy kids" story below as a comment for your chance to win. Good luck!

The PROdry is a home cleaning system that uses a combination of hot tap water, BISSELL advanced deep cleaning formulas,
the TLR PowerRoller and suction to safely and effectively clean carpets and area rugs. In additional to Trapping, Lifting and Removing the dirt and grime, the TLR PowerRoller absorbs the majoirty of the water and formula, meaning your carpet and area rugs dry in less than 30 minutes!
PROdry uses a new technology to easily and effectively clean your carpet and area rugs. This is the same technology used in places like airports, schools and retail, where cleaning time is of the essence. PROdry relies on the TLR PowerRoller to minimize the amount of water that comes in contact with the carpet surface. So you get the benefits of carpet cleaning, without the disruption of waiting for your carpet to dry.

My messy little boy is a puddle hopper. No matter what I do to keep him dry during or after a rain, no such luck he ends up sopping wet. He has his own umbrella, a rain coat that goes down to his thighs, and rain boots. Last time we had to walk to school in the rain his hair was completely dry, everything of his I was carrying was dry but when he took his rain coat and boots off he was wet from his chest down to his socks. Luckily I have enough experience with this to carry a spare set of clothing along.
And when it comes to walking and eating, oh my gosh, he leaves a trail of crumbs. Even when it is not normally an item that would leave debris for the average person. I still don't understand how any form of matter can escape his hoover hole of a mouth he inhales food.

PermalinkI have a toddler... it always looks like an explosion took place in our house. But her favorite thing to do is pull books off the shelves. We think she's just planning to be a librarian or a bookseller someday.

PermalinkUnfortunately I don't have just one story, but a compilation of things that happen on a daily basis around my house that probably warrant buying the bissell if I don't win! Some of my favorites involve my almost 3 year old who had terrible reflux as a baby (up until 18 months or so). There were splat marks all over my carpet, up the stairs, and in both of our bedrooms. Turns out using a baby wipe on them was like a magnetic force that attracted more dirt to the suspect splat mark. The first time we used markers, Ellie ate the blue one - her face was priceless. We moved to crayons after that, but who knew "washable" crayons also disolve in toddler mouths? Play doh - forget it! We still use it, but it's off limits to my adorable baby sitter, who doesn't understand what happens when it goes underfoot. Preschool just started & DD loves to take her shoes off - in the middle of the living room floor, creating mini sandboxes in her 4 month old brother's play area (the dustbuster only does so much). Under the kitchen table is a hazard area for any mom, but why do I keep feeding her oatmeal, rice, and wheetabix? I know I'm asking for trouble. Her latest trick involves blowing into her straw cup of milk and teaching her brother (now on solids) to blow raspberries (while he's eating peas, of course).
Her favorite family activity is to order pizza, lay out a sheet on the living room floor & have a "picnic". Too bad she scoots off the edge of the sheet. I wonder what she'd think if we ordered white pizza to save ourselves from the dreaded red sauce? Little brother Drew just started rolling over, unfortunately with his reflux & cold, he's starting to leave splat's like Ellie did. I'm waiting for him to start crawling and for her to step in the cold wet spots (the ones that I don't realize he's made, so I don't manage to clean up).
Sadly, my kids aren't the worst in the family. It's not the husband, either, it's me! Yesterday I baked cookies for DD's preschool class. I'm still finding powdered sugar and flour all over the kitchen. How did it get under the cabinets?
Does the bissell come with a shovel attachment, or does one just clean over the discarded toys strewn throughout the living room?

PermalinkMy daughter moved in with my two grandchildren and within a week of moving in my carpet looks like its been through a war it can't win. My granddaughter walking in the room trips over a whole glass of pop that was on the floor. Why my daughter had it on the floor I don't understand, but in the last month its happened 2 more times.I'm trying to keep my words to myself because its hard enough with all of us living here but why would she let the kids play with play-doh without a mat? You guessed it ground in play-doh all over. They have to eat dinner in the living room and I can tell you by looking at the carpet what we had the past two weeks. Yes I need a miracle cleaning and when that gets taken care of hopefully there is going to be some rules set down even if she is an adult. My sanity is slowly flying out the window. You would never guess my carpet is less than 2 years old. BISSELL please come to the rescue!

PermalinkMy four-year-old twin boys are so messy that I could write a book about their antics. Thank God for washable markers and crayons because they have written on every surface in our house. One time, they used a ballpoint pen to scribble all over the back of one of our leather chairs. Needless to say, those scribbles are still there. My hands and knees are worn out from all the scrubbing in the house, so this product would really be a life-saver for us!

PermalinkI've got three messy kids, 2 boys and 1 tomboy, as well as a messy husband and a great dane. My kids love to play in the sandbox but much prefer to dig in the dirt with their tractors and trucks. My old steamer isn't working anymore and I would LOVE to have this to keep up with the kids dragging in all the leaves and dirt (not to mention leaky sippy cups!)
Thanks for the opportunity!

PermalinkI remember one day I was JUST due to have guests arrive, had my 4-month-old daughter all dressed up and clean and had set her in a Boppie pillow. I just happened to pick her up to check her over one last time and she was dripping from her diaper and it was all over her very quickly. Argh! So I had to give her the fastest bath ever and somehow managed to clean it all up before the guests arrived (thankfully they were a bit late!). lol
Thanks for this, you have no idea how much I would be THRILLED to win this! I feel like crying at the state of my carpets.

PermalinkThe daily messes are fantastic. I think I am catching some toddler fingers, because between my son and myself, while packing lunches yesterday we managed to drop and dump: a pot of mashed potatoes, a bowl of tomatoes, a glass of milk and a bottle of OJ... needless-to-say I didn't get to work on time.

PermalinkI have 2 messy kids. Their favorite pass time is walking around the house with their snack (fortunately/unfortunately - they love blueberries, strawberries and anything that can stain)!!! - Rebecca Rebecca's MomFaves Profile

PermalinkMy favorite messy kid story is when my two boys were eating italian ice in the living room at some little tables I set up for them and unknown to me, dropped some on the carpet... Nothing like blue and red on a beige carpet to keep you hopping... You can still see a weee bit of the red. Might be my imagination because I know where it's at! Teach me to let my kids snack there! Not really, I still let them eat breakfast in there and when friends are over we lay out a sheet and let them eat lunch there... btw, sheets don't stop stains from liquids!!!

PermalinkI have four active girls, ages 9,7,6, & 3. We have lived in our house for 2 years, and the carpets look horrible! The latest mess was just a few days ago and I still haven't been able to clean it up properly. My 3 year old decided to draw smiley faces on the carpet right in the middle of the living room! Did I mention that it was with metallic markers? This is just one more mess of many to come, I am sure. My daughters are creative and fun, and messes seem to follow them around.

PermalinkWhen my daughter was a newborn, she was breastfed, so her poo was very yellow and mustard like. It happened twice when my husband was changing her, he didn't get her covered in time, and she not only pooped on him, but it also shot all the way across the room. We had yellow splatters in a line all over our cream colored carpet. This, of course, happened right as we were heading out the door. So we had to hurry and try to clean it up. I just sprayed carpet cleaner on it, and we eventually got it out. but it took several times to get it all out. This would also be great for keeping our carpets really clean, now that my daughter is a toddler and is into everything. We have a lot of dogs in the neighborhood who like to poop on our lawn, and we've had visitors come in and track dog poop all over our carpet, and we don't even have a dog! We are still finding dog hair though from the previous owners, and even though we had the carpets professionally cleaned, they didn't do a good job. I bet this Bissel would clean better than they did!

PermalinkLet me preface my story with this. When we moved into our house 2 years ago we were welcomed by beautiful white and beige carpets throughout the entire house. With 3 kids, ages 3 and under, we quickly changed the colors of these carpets.
My best story is this. We decided to have the carpets professionally cleaned. The staff worked tediously to try and remove the stains. When they were getting ready to finish up, one of the workers told me that they were unable to remove some of the stains that were caused by an animal. It was not an animal, however, but was our 2 1/2 year old boy who we were potty training. We have no pets! We were both embarrassed.
I have 2 more kids to potty train. Help me Bissel!

PermalinkMy kids don't mean to be messy. I tell that to myself every day! My four year old daughter is a nature girl and loves to bring rocks, twigs, plants, bugs, etc. home from her expeditions. My 15 month old is a whirling, flailing food-flinger. We also have six cats. Eeek!

PermalinkWe agreed to fish sit two tanks with a total of about thirty goldfish in them over the past few months. My three year old daughter loves to feed them every morning and evening, and inevitably spills fish food all over the table where they are kept. Since she is a neat freak in a very few regards, she does not like fish food on the table, she likes to sweep it off on to the rug. Everyday. It is getting difficult to keep the room from smelling like fish.

PermalinkWOw! What an awesome giveaway! My old carpets sure could use one of these. The dogs seemed to have had one too many accidents on them. I need to bring them back to life!

PermalinkOh boy, could I use one of these!! With 3 boys and 2 dogs (plus a husband:)), it's impossible to keep my carpets clean- ever!
Our best story is when my husband called me from work one day (pretty sure this was smack in the middle of the week) and said he was bringing his new boss, along with his wife, over for dinner. Not only did I have nothing planned for such a meal, but 2 of my boys had just dumped both of their juice boxes right in the middle of the living room!
I scrambled for hours and finally got a decent meal on the table (and managed to cover up the carpet stains with extra chairs). Thanks for such a great contest, I hope I win!!

PermalinkWith a 2 and 3 year old and 100 lb dog, I find myself saying things I never imagined. Not to mention the messes I have to deal with.
"Don't pee on your sister" = Oh no, do I clean this up from the carpet the same way I clean the dog accidents?
"Why does the dog smell like cinnamon?" = Scented oil plug ins smell better in the air than on your dog. It takes forever to clean the oil from the floor (not to mention the dog)
"I sure hope those markers are washable" - They weren't, so we just got a jumpstart on our planned remodel.
"Dead turtle smells exactly like you would expect it to" - Dog gave into "peer pressure" at the park and rolled in a dead turtle, then on our carpet and bed.
As you can see, the unexpected happens often in our house. It'd be great to have a surefire, quick cleaner in my arsenal.
Parenting is always exciting. To quote my favorite band "enjoy the humor of the situation" (BNL)
