Cheddar Spinach Casserole
A delicious side dish that's been a part of many family holiday meals, BBQs or weeknight dinners!
Ingredients
2 - 16 oz bags of frozen spinach
1 - envelope of dried onion soup mix
1 - 16 oz package of shredded cheddar cheese
2 - Tbsp butter or margarine
1 - Tbsp sour cream
Kitchen Items
9 x 12 Corning Wear baking dish or Pyrex glass dish, strainer
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Thaw frozen spinach. Put in strainer and press out the excess liquid.
In the baking dish, add the spinach, onion dip powder, 3/4 of the cheddar cheese and the sour cream. Blend well. Cut the butter in small little squares & dab them evenly throughout the casserole.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted throughout casserole. Add remaining cheese on top of casserole and bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
