Quick and Simple Taco Dip
This is a quick and easy appetizer that will be a hit with kids and grown-ups alike!
1 pound ground beef
1 package taco mix
2 eight oz. packages of cream cheese
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Additional Toppings:
- Shredded lettuce
- Chopped tomatoes
- Sliced black olives
- Sliced jalepenos
15 Minutes
9 x 13 Baking Dish
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spread the cream cheese on the bottom of the 9x13 inch baking dish. Brown the ground beef. I like to add some chopped onions, but that's optional. Add the taco mix and follow the package directions for preparation. Then spoon the meat mixture evenly over the cream cheese. Sprinkle with the shredded cheddar cheese. You can substitute a taco blend cheese mixture if desired. Bake until the cheese is completely melted (approximately 15 minutes). You can then top with your favorite toppings, e.g., chopped tomatoes, jalepenos, shredded lettuce, etc. Serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
