Easy Tortilla Pizzas
Easy Tortilla Pizzas
This was a childhood favorite of mine and I finally decided to start making them for my daughter. She loved it!! And so did my husband :)
It's easy and can be healthy as well.
Ingredients
flour tortillas
tomato sauce (to make this really quick, I use Trader Joes tomato and basil pasta sauce in the jar - it's great!)
cheese (you can use whatever your little one's like - I mix it up with mozarella and cheddar)
toppings - this can be anything! veggies (mushrooms, peppers, green onions), meat (sausage, chicken - the other day I cut up some of the Trader Joe's turkey meatballs and put them on - a big hit)
Kitchen Items
cutting board, spatula, baking or cookie sheet
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place tortilla on a flat surface (can use cutting board). Spread desired amount of sauce on top (don't use too much, the tortillas might break).
Top with shredded cheese and toppings of your choice.
Repeat for as many pizzas as you'd like - kids can help make their own
Bake on a cookie sheet for 15 minutes or until desired browning of the crust and bubbling of cheese. Carefully move the pizza to a cutting board with the spatula, cut into slices and enjoy!!
Just use caution loading these up, the tortillas make a "thin crust" pizza and might break under too much weight.
