Easy Creamy Pasta and Ham
This is a quick pasta dish for moms on the go. The ham can be replaced with chicken.
1 lb. bowtie pasta
1 Tbsp. butter
2 c. chopped fully cooked ham
2 c. frozen sweet peas, thawed
1-1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. heavy cream (more may be needed for creaminess)
Salt and black pepper to taste
20 minutes
1 Large Skillet, 1 Medium Sauce Pan, Large pot
In a large pot, cook pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking, melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet and saute ham for three minutes. Add peas and heat through.
Drain pasta, transfer to a large serving dish and toss with ham and pea mixture.
In a sauce pan, combine Parmesan cheese, garlic powder and cream. Add salt and pepper; adjust seasoning to taste. If the consistency isn't creamy enough, add more cream. If it's not thick enough, add more Parmesan cheese. Toss cream mixture with pasta mixture. Serve immediately
