Sherbet Punch
Sherbet Punch
This is a quick and easy option for any get together and eliminates the need for ice!
Ingredients
1/2 gal Sherbet, any flavor (lemon, pineapple, lime, orange, rainbow, etc.)
1 2-liter bottle of ginger ale, Sprite, or 7-Up
Kitchen Items
Punch bowl Ice cream scoop ladle
Instructions
1. Drop small scoops of sherbet into empty punch bowl
2. Pour soda over sherbet to fill bowl.
3. Mix and break up scoops of sherbet
The sherbet will chill the soda and melt a bit into the drink. I like to prepare it 20-30 min. before the party starts so the sherbet has time to melt. The amount of sherbet you add is up to you. I usually keep some on hand to "freshen" the bowl as it will melt and periodically refill the soda as well.
There are a lot of varations:
Add desired juice (orange, pineapple, etc.) to taste, in addition to soda
Use champagne to taste, in addition to soda for an alcoholic punch
Use a melon baller to make some additional smaller scoops to add to the cups.
