Question
When is your 3 to 4 month old's bedtime?
My son is 14 weeks and we have been getting him to bed around 8 p.m. We have a good routine - bathtime each night and then his last bottle. He normally dozes off pretty easily. But lately, he has been very angry by the time we are on the way to his glider for that last bottle. I'm wondering if I need move bedtime up to an earlier time? Thoughts?

Your baby is a bit older now, but at 3/4 months, I put my kids to bed around 7:30. It probably varies by baby as well.
Sometimes you can hone in on their tired "signals"- rubbing eyes, less playful, yawning. Look for things like that and try to get them to bed before they are past that stage of just starting to get sleepy. Once they enter the really tired stage, they are not happy.
My son has been trained since he was 2 1/2 mons. I started by taking him in a quiet semi light room and rocking him by 7-7:30 pm. Now he is trained that be no later than 7:30 pm he is ready for bed. He takes a bottle and i Have a mobile along with a music box that he can press and play till he falls asleep. Sometimes a lil music box with lights and music that they can operarate helps baby to wined down from the day and go to sleep. Also a nice warm bath with a 10 min massage (I used jonhson's bedtime massage oil) can help baby go to sleep at a descent hour. One major point put baby to bed at the time that you want him/her to wake up. If your a early riser then put baby to bed early ; if you sleep later then put baby to bed later. At that age they sleep about 12 hrs so you have to figure if they go down at 7 they will be up about 7am . Trust me it makes a difference.
