Question
Too many ads in forum posts
I'm new here, but I'm put off by the number of ads listed as forum topics or as answers to people's questions. Isn't there a moderator who can remove those and stop it from happening? I understand the need for advertisers, but those should be limited to the classified section, imo.

Hi there!
Your comment is very important and certainly does not go overlooked by the MothersClick team. We couldn't agree with you more!
As a social network and open community for moms, MothersClick was developed as a resource to promote group building and knowledge-sharing. But as the nature of any site that is free, public and community-driven, unfortunately, there will be some members who don't play by the rules.
We expect everyone to be responsible, respectful, and adhere to our Community Guidelines, the basic principles which govern our network of users. You'll find this addresses your points.
While all public comments are read by moderators, we don't want to be censors. We want to keep the community organic. Furthermore, because MothersClick is online and active 24/7, spam-like comments can't always be identified immediately. To make your community better, every member can help us by flagging "inappropriate" postings, and we will take action.
Finally, you are absolutely correct: Posts that promote products or services belong in the Classifieds section. Evidently, those users who think they're getting more attention by posting here don't realize that they're just turning off their audience.
Thanks again for your comment. We always encourage member feedback and suggestions, and are constantly working to make this site and service better for moms and their groups. Please look for new features and significant upgrades to MothersClick launching very soon!
We appreciate your participation.
