Question
Three and a half year old suddenly hates school!!
My daughter has been going to the same preschool since September of last year without one single tear shed. All of the sudden she starts to cling to me (and believe me, this is no clingy girl) and cries when I leave her. The teacher assures me she stops pretty quickly, but it all seems so strange.
Now, I'm well versed on kids who are not used to being dropped off somewhere, be it day care or school, crying for a short time until they get used to the situation. But she's been in the same school now for almost a whole year! Any ideas on what might be going on and what I can do to help her enjoy school and her friends again?

Has her teacher changed? Your daughter my not like her if that is the case. Maybe another child picks on her. Has your scheduled change and you are spending less time with her and she wants more time with you? Has the class room schudle changed? Was a room pet added? Any little thing talk with the drector of the program she/he may be able/ more wiiling to tell you more.

Thanks for your reply. The only think that happened was she had been acting out one day and the teacher told me after school. My daughter knew the teacher told me, so I'm wondering if that triggered this strange behavior. Everything else is exactly the same!
