What I used with my two kids was baby Orajel, you can buy over the counter at any drugstore.
You can also buy those little toys that are for teething purposes, I used to put them on the freezer and give them to my kids, it helps them a lot!!
Good luck, I know how miserable they are when teething.
Blessings,

I've never used those pain gels, but have heard that they work. I too have used the frozen toys that the kids can chew on. Although these days you need to be careful of the plastic!

Good luck, it seems bad now, but it will be over soon. I found that with my kids, the first couple of teeth are the worst, after that, they just start to pop up and you'd never even know they were teething- hang in there!

Ahh teething. With my first son, I never knew when he was teething and my second son is complete opposite so I know what you are going through. Have you tried the homeopathic teething tablets from wal-mart? They dissolve in their mouth and calms them down. Besides OTC drugs, your pediatrician can prescribe an oral lidocain gel.

I too never used Orajel or any teething lotion for my daughter. What I did for her was place her soothers (binkies whatever you like to call it) in the freezer for her and she enjoyed it.
If you don't use soothers, I also put a facecloth in the freezer and let the water freeze just enough to not freeze her little lips or tongue, cooled to so to speak. Then placed her in my lap and rocked her while she sucked on it, just to make sure she didn't suck too hard and choke.
When all else fails, try teethers of different shapes and colors to catch her fancy.
Good luck Smiley

My lifesaver was the homeopathic tablets you can get in any drugstore, if it gets really bad then alternate Motrin and Tylenol at night to help them sleep. Really did work wonders.

Good luck!
