Question

Nanny Share

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

I live in Woodside and am interested in a nanny for 2 days a week and 1-2 nights a week. I know of a great nanny but she needs more hours. Is anyone interested in nanny sharing?

Sharing a nanny is a great solution for a family who wants to share care with another family.  Traditionally, sharing a nanny involves having the nanny care for both family's children at the same time.  Same kids, same hours.  But looking for a family who wants to employ your nanny on her "off" hours is also a great idea. That way a nanny can work full-time, just for different families.

If you are looking for a family who wants to share a nanny you could register with www.findanannyshare.com.  They offer a database of families who are looking to share a nanny.  Free information about hiring a nanny is also available.

Hi Fran,

I also found another site which helps families find a nannyshare at www.sharenanny.com. I think it's new so it's completely free (for now). I'm not sure how many families are in their database yet, but since it's free I suppose there's nothing to lose!

We shared a nanny with another family for about 1 and 1/2 years. It worked out great! The nanny ended up moving away but we're hoping to find another one soon.

Good luck!
