My son won't sleep
My son just turned 7 months and has NEVER slept through the night. For the first week, I got about 3 hours of sleep. I was so tired that I took him to the doctor and he told me that sometimes a baby just won't sleep alone. I began to sleep with him and it helped a little bit. We still woke up for feedings but at least he would sleep a little while. When he turned about 4 months, he refused to sleep anywhere but his car seat. (I know, o.k.) I have been trying to put him in his crib and he seems to want to sleep on his tummy, but only for 45 mins to an hour. I have a swing which he hates, a bouncer that vibrates which he hates, and he won't be swaddled. He won't sleep with me anymore. He's also stopped taking his naps. The only way he will sleep is if he is in my arms and rocking in a chair. I don't know what to do. I'm so sleep deprived that it's starting to really take a toll on me and I have NO ONE that can help me take care of him so at least I can get a nap. Please, anyone.....

I donty usually throw my two cents in, but I really feel for you. I was told totally diffrent things from my pediatrician. I was told not to get into the habit of letting her sleep with me. At three months he said that she no longer needed to eat in the middle of the night, so to console her with a binky. well that didnt work right away cause I fet bad and kept feeding her. Well the first time I just gave her a binky and walked away she went back to sleep (this was around 5.5 months) woke up once more, did the same and right back. I think that maybe you should put him in his crib with one of those things that attaches to the side of the crib and has lights and makes noise. I know its going to be hell, but let him cry. After a few nights of no sleep or him crying himself to sleep you may get somewhere. He knows now that if he crys you will come. I'm telling you, that little music thing saved me!! I agree with krobinson. Try something that makes noise or music.
