Question
Is My Baby Teething?
Lately my 7 and half month old has been very fussy. I can't see any teeth coming in but she seems to have some of the symptoms. The other night she had a fever and she's not eating much. She's also been waking up in the middle of the night, and she doesn't usually do that.
Can babies be teething if you don't see the teeth?

I have heard that worst part is before the teeth come in, so that could be it.
Try letting her bite on a frozen toy or towel, sometimes baby tylenol will help ease the discomfort as well.
Good luck!
Definitely could be teething, sounds like both of my kids when they were babies. I agree with the frozen wet wash cloth, works great. If your baby's old enough, popsicles work great, too. My kids are older, so they might not make it anymore, but when mine were little there was a product called Baby Anbesol that you rubbed on gums in the toothpaste aisle. You could ask your doctor if it's still available.
It sounds like teething to me I give my baby teething tablets you can buy them at walmart fredmerys ,anbesol make my baby mad but loves frozen wash cloth and Popsicles
Thank you all!
My son had symptoms of teething for a month before his teeth actually came in (which happened this week, two of them... he's almost 8 months old.)
I suggest a bit of baby tylenol when your child is extremely fussy. Otherwise try to distract them as much as possible from what is bothering them (in this case their gums). Some people use oragel or teething tablets however in most cases these do very little and the effect that they do have does not last. Putting a teething ring in the fridge or even a cold washcloth often helps relieve discomfort in my son... try it out.
Loving mother of a baby boy, Gabriel, since April 25/07.
My daughter did the same thing at about six months. She was fussy for one or two nights and her gums in the font were swollen. About a week later her first front tooth broke through.
