Question
My baby rocks his head when he sleeps
My baby whips his head back and forth when he is sleeping and sometimes moans when doing it and /or has a frown on hisface. It really is like he is unhappy, or having a nightmare. I hate watching it, and since we have a family bed I cant sleep when he does it. He is 5 months old and has been doing it for about a month. Does anyone think it is an earache?

I've never heard of this, although my daughter constantly moved her head too (but without the moaning and frowning). My suggestion is to see a doctor if you suspect an earache. An ear infection can get serious fast. It's a good thing to ask the doc about anyway, to calm any fears you have.

My son has done this since he was about that age -- he's now three and shows no sign of any physical or mental problems. Of course a doctor always knows best, but I wouldn't worry. It's disturbing to watch as a parent but it is usually not a sign of anything serious.
I feel like if it was an ear infection that there may have been other symptoms to show up in the last month. Just my opinion.
possible could it be night terrors my 16 month old goes through this four to five times a week its draining unnerving and emotional to watch but the only thing you can do is comfort him if it gets real bad maybe talk to his pedi
