Smiley Happy Birthday to your baby Smiley It is okay to put the size on invitations, it really and I mean really DEPENDS ON THOSE YOU ARE INVITING.

I just had that issue to deal with in September. My niece told people her son's size and had the nerve to say if they didn't bring a gift ...then don't come. Guess what! Nobody came and I was deeply hurt. Many people called me and told me they wanted to, but because of her attitute they didn't. I was deeply hurt because why take something out on a child because of their mother. But, I understood. Regardless, he and I had a ball, guest or not.

The child's first birthday is a time for celebration of the child reaching the age of one, especially in this day and time. If people plan on bringing a gift or a card (even if it is empty) they will do so, but to tell them to do so or hint that they do so my offend to the point where they make excuses not to come. Now that everybody seems to be tightening up on their dollars and stretching them...let do what they choose to. Besides you don't know how people's financial situations are. They may want to bring a gift but just can't afford too. Then some others may come empty handed even if you put the size on the invitations and how will you feel.

Main thing to remember is that it is a time for celebrating the child turning one. Be happy, thankful and prayerful that your child has lived to see one, many infants didn't and as many mom's didn't live to see their child turn one. Unless you are in NEED, don't put the size on the invitations. If people want to know they will call you and ask for the child's size.
CELEBRATE THE BIRTHDAY! Think about and let me know what you decided.
Again, Happy Birthday to the Little One
