Question
Introducing myself
Hello,
I have been browsing this site for a few days now and just wanted to give a general intro. I am a SAHM in the SF Bay Area (though my dh, dd, and I will likely be relocating to Southern California soon). I guess I'm like most of the moms here in that I am trying to reach out to other moms who share some of my concerns, along with the joys and fun of motherhood. I am very interested in parenting issues in general, especially those that come from the world at large (i.e. political and sociological issues). I am also interested in starting a moms' book club, either online or in person. Or maybe both! I'd love to meet a few of you!

Where in Southern California will you be locating to? I live in Woodland Hills, a suburb in the west San Fernando Valley.

Hi Angela,
Thanks for writing back! As of right now, it looks like we'll be located somewhere in the west San Gabriel Valley, probably somewhere around S. Pasadena. I think we're going to find out in a couple of days exactly where the new job will be located.
I guess that will be a bit far from you, but maybe not too far?

Well, it's far, but not really too bad. There is a really great kid's museum, Kidspace (go to kidspace.org to check it out) and it's in Pasadena. We have a pass and go there all the time! So you should definitely let me know where you end up, and we can get a playdate going! We're pretty new to this area still and it would be fun to meet another mom! How old are you kid(s)? I have a 4 year old boy, and 8 month old little girl.

Wow, this museum looks great, thanks for the tip! There is a similar museum here in the bay area, but this one looks even better. I will indeed let you know when we have moved, maybe we can meet at the museum! As of right now, I'm not sure where we'll end up. My husband got an offer for a job in Rosemead, but declined because it was a contract position with too many uncertainties. He's interviewing with another company next week, but we don't know where it will be located -- could be Ventura County, Orange County, or somewhere in LA. But regardless, this place would definitely be worth a trip so hopefully I'll see you when we get down there!
Oh, and I have one child -- a daughter who is 2 /12. She loves older kids and babies.
