I would get tested ASAP, even if you have to get an ept test. I had all the symptoms for 3 months, then, the day after I went to my doctor (and found out I wasn't pregnant) I started my period. It's rare, but it happens-my nipples even started to leak! But I would definitely find out before you start planning ahead!
Yes, those drugstore tests are actually really accurate. My doctor wouldn't have even done her own test if she hadn't wanted to confirm the date. Which I thought was funny. They occasionally give a false positive, but rarely a false negative. (If you get a negative result, and still show symptoms, then I'd try to see a doctor.) And just take good care of yourself in the meantime!
Not that it would be a problem for you, but the women in my family always test negative with the urine tests! I had to get a blood test, which is why it took 3 month to find out I wasn't pregnant a few years ago! I still took care of myself like I was, but it was good to be on the safe side!
Oh my gosh, that's crazy. But now that I re-read my response, I am wondering if I got it backward. Maybe it's actually more common to get a false negative. In other words, if it says you're not pregnant, still be cautious, but if it says you are, you better start buying baby clothes! I think that sounds more likely, actually, than what I said before.
