Are you worried because you can't get an appointment for a couple of weeks or something? I didn't even find out I was pregnant until I was 7 weeks along (I didn't have any morning sickness or anything) so I was almost two months along before the first appointment. I would say if you're not nervous about anything you could probably go a couple of weeks beyond that. I mean a big part of the reason to go to all those prenatal visits is peace of mind. You get that reassurance that everything is going along as it should, you get to hear the heartbeat, and you may even get an early ultrasound like I did at 10 weeks.
But they do also take blood and urine tests and all your vitals and there are other ways for them to know if there are any potential problems. So while I wouldn't intentionally wait past a couple of months, if you have to wait for some reason like your doctor can't see you or you're traveling or something, it's probably not a huge concern. Just be sure to take prenatal vitamins, drink a lot of water, get plenty of rest, and walk! (That's all advice my doctor gave me on my first visit, and all things I was doing anyway.)
Most dr.'s won't see you until you're 8 weeks along. As long as you are taking care of yourself (taking your vitamins, eating good, etc.) you should be OK until you see your dr. But you should call and make an appt. SOON!

it is good to make an appointment as soon as you decide to have a child--my friend didn't go until she was like almost 3months and it turned out that she was carrying twins.-- plus you want to start your pre-natals as soon as possible.--they help reduce the health risks and morning sickness--good luck
Most doctors will not see you until you are 8-10 weeks along. I was perturbed by this since it was my first pregnancy, I had no idea what to do. Basically, you just refrain from alcohol, cigarettes, and high mercury fish (tuna, shark, swordfish, etc..) and start on a prenatal vitamin (the pharmacist can recommend a good one). Otherwise, business as usual and you can wait until that first appointment to confirm everything. If you take 8 pregnancy tests like I did, you are probably pretty accurate that it's the real thing.
If you start to spot or cramp badly I would request an appointment right away.
