I've seen various time points, but one reliable source says 10 days, so I usually don't go past that.
You'd be fine storing it there for a week. I've also kept it in the freezer for up to 6 months!
When I was breastfeeding I was told by my lactation consultant that breastmilk will last in the fridge for 5-7 days. After 5 days the nutrients start to deplete, so any supply I had over 5 days I would freeze. It lasts 2-3 months in the freezer before nutrients start to deplete. Hope this helps.

I used to put everything in the freezer except for any amount I needed right away. I read that it's better to freeze it right away rather than leave it in the fridge for a few days first, for the same reason Jodi cited: that the nutrients begin to deplete. I believe I kept it in the freezer for three months and tossed anything beyond that. My daughter's taste buds were our guide - she simply wouldn't take it if it was too old! Also, you probably already know this, but never microwave breastmilk and don't even put it in a pan to heat it. Put bags of milk into a cup or bowl full of warm water to both thaw it and warm it up to room temperature or just a little warmer.
I usually stored it in the freezer right away. Gerber makes "Seal 'n Go" Breast Milk Storage Bags that has a "leak-proof" zipper seal on it along with an area to write the amount and date it was pumped. Use a permanent sharpie marker for writing.
