Dear Pamala of York PA, I am writing to you hoping we can communicate  & exchange advise. I have an eleven year old son who was diagnosed with seperation anxiety, social phobia, oppositional defiant disorder, and ADD/ADHD!  When I found some one who could actually diagnose my son at first I felt relived because I thought that with the diagnosis would come help in treating the disorders.  What I found instead is a severe lack of parental support groups, and others who share in my frustrations!  While I love my child dearly, I find it to be a constant and daily struggle to help my child who cannot even ride the school bus due to anxiety and phobia. He has trouble attending school in which is a special education class with only 4 other students, none of whom share the same diagnosis as my child.  He has baffled even highly regarded specialists!! Some times it is nice just to have someone to talk to who knows what you are going thru!  I wish u the best of luck w/your child!
