Hello moms

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

I just had a baby two months ago and now if I have been sitting or lying down and I stand for a few minutes like to the dishes my ankles and the top of my feet start to tingle and hurt so bad they itch, this is weird and I wonder what it is.... Does anyone else suffer from this? I don't even know if it had to with my pregnancy.

Have you had any back problems in the past?  Sometimes when your feel tingling it can be coming from the nerves that might be irritated in your back.

I'm no doctor, but you may want to find out if this is what is causing your pain.

I saw my GP about it since it continued after my baby was 6 months old (though not as badly then).  He referred me to my neurologist (whom I have not seen so far).  I assume it is related to pregnancy/breastfeeding.  I DID get pretty bad carpal tunnel during my pregnancy and I figure it's related somehow.

ok... i thought i was the only one, i too got carpal tunnel from my pregnancy. it doesn't make sense.... my thumb, index and sometimes middle finger would go numb. i noticed it after i had my baby and my prenatal doctor said i had carpal tunnel and it was from my pregnancy. all of my friends, and family, even those who had children thought that was weird. i'm glad i'm not alone.
