Getting a 1 year old to sleep in their own bed!

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

My daughter has been sleeping in the bed with me pretty much since she was about 3 months old. Before that, she slept in a bassinet beside my bed. What is the best way you guys have found to start getting a 1 year old to start sleeping alone? Her crib is in my room right beside my bed, and she is still being breastfed some, but is eating baby food and table food well. She just relies on breastmilk to sleep many times. Sometimes I can kind of rock her to sleep, but she isn't going to sleep on her own yet. Any suggestions?

you may need your husband to put her to sleep since when she sees you she will want to bf.

try with naptime first and start a new routine - like maybe rubbing her back. just be consistent. my daughter sleeps with her pacifier, but at day care they weened her and she is just fine for them - but for me forget it!
we also had a problem with her wanting to sleep with us but just go her back to sleeping in her crib/bed (she is 17 months). it takes a few times of fussing and crying and then they are use to it.

good luck Smiley
