does mirena IUD effect your sex drive, or disrupt hormones

I don't know if it effects our sex drive, but I can tell you that I have had my Mirena for 2 years now, and I have NO sex drive what so ever. I have also developed tons of facial hair and gained more that 40 pounds that I can't seem to get rid of. I have horrible mood swings. So, I would say yes, but I could be dealing with other issues as well. All I know is that I am having my Mirena removed on the 5th of December to try to shed some of this and to try for baby #2.

I had the Mirena for a whole two months before I decided that it was NOT for me. I had no sex drive at all I couldn't even stand to be touched and I had major mood swings! My husband said it just wasn't worth it and I agree. Since I got it out I am the ol' me I know and love. My sex drive is back and I am happy as ever!
