Hi dreamteamgirly,

I work at home too so I definitely feel your pain! I know the spam can be frustrating but I try not to let those responses and comments get to me. If you ever see a comment that you feel is inappropriate you can always contact MothersClick and let them know!

Hi, my name is Vera and I wanted to say that I have tried a few different work at home jobs and didn't do very well. I was selling stuff or got ripped off when I sent $ in, and never got anything back!  I became very sceptical after that. Then I had my daughter and my goals changed, and my reasons why changed. I am here to let u know of a  leggit, risk free work at home company. I have been doing it for a little while now and am very glad that I decided to try it out. Unlike what I tried before there is no selling, keeping inventory, or going to peoples homes, and yeah no large investment. If u r interested please email me so we can talk and I would love to get u some information.   My email is veraross9608@yahoo.com        I look forward to getting ur email

It's been said before but it can't be said to often - never pay anyone for a job. They pay you. If they ask you to put out cash for lists, supplies, to join a website, it's a scam to get your money. Never Never give them a credit card number.

On the positive side, I've worked full time from home for the past six years. I've worked as a writer and web producer. I've been a paid forum moderator and I've built websites for people.

I've paid moms to do jobs for me (not full time, but it's money from my pocket to theirs, so that counts, right) to do transcribing work (I hate transcribing and I need it all the time) and to act as a virtual assistant.

When looking and applying for a work-from-home job, use the same care you would for a corporate job. You need a well-pulled together resume and confidence that you're the right person for the job.

Working at home is hard work.  I have been a work at home professional for 20 years, retailer, board member local chamber, fundraiser, entrepreneur, infopreneur, blogger, direct sales and day trader,  I love working from home.  I have raised both my children from the day they born (now teenagers) in my home office.  I was there for, their first words, first steps, first day of school, every school play, after school activity, concert, baseball, basketball and soccor game, awards ceremonies, coached after school sports, DI, PTO and I was there for every stuffy nose.  I would do it again in heart beat.  I will continue to work at home to put them through college and for my retirement.  And yes I do make money!

Y.es I really do make money from home. I am  a displayer for Celbrating Home. What would you like to know from there?

I work at home, for the government, and make about $50K a year.  That's pretty good in my part of the country - i think the trick is to get a regular job, then negotiate teleworking.  A lot of companies are making their workers remote - it's cheaper, almost eliminates abuse of leave, and makes for a happier worker.

OK...What type of government work? I worked for a non-profit that got federal and state funds for 16 years. Now I am a Mom and need to work! I am interested in what you do, how you do it, etc. !! Where do you live?? I am in NW IN Thanks!!!

I do work from home (as well as out of the home part time) and I am about to leave my part time job to work from home full time - yay me!  :-) I have spent some money in training packages and materials (less than $100 totalo) that some might call "scams" but really it is in how you approach it. A lot of people get upset if they don't instantly start just raking in cash, and call it a scam. It takes perseverance, dedication, and discipline to make ANY work from home situation work for you. And you have to be realistic! Let's first aim to turn a profit - then we'll aim to make a living - then we will aim for our other big goals. No matter what they say, it WILL NOT happen overnight, and what DOES happen depends on you!

This is what I do, it's not a scam, (it's a search engine) and no, I don't suggest anyone try it as a business unless you are realistic in your financial expectations, and you are willing to put forth the effort to make it work  :-)
