From what I've read, there are no conclusive studies to prove it, but most doctors do say certain antibiotics can interfere with birth control, and advise all women using both to use a condom or other backup form of birth control. Here's a link that explains it in more detail: http://pregnancy.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Antibiotics_and_Birth_Control

thank you so much for that link.  I talked to a few mothers over the years that have become pregnant while taking antibiotics.  They were just unaware.  I was on antibiotics for two weeks and did not use alternative birth control.  I am now starting to have symptoms of pregnancy.  It may be a false alarm.  I have had many before! sometimes its so hard to distinguish between pregnancy and a period!  I will hopefully find out tonight.  I hope its not too early to take a test.  Thanks for you help!
