I am a former public school teacher (elementary level) and now a stay at home mom! I have worked with parents that were homeschooling their children but needed some extra help for their children in specific areas. Some needed tutor help, others needed to have their children tested and still others brought their children in for a specific time during the day for certain subjects. I encourage you to call the public school district you live in and inquire with whom you need to speak to about accessing classes. Whatever level you are interested in, public school districts have a responsibility to assist you and your child/ children with whatever you need. Most districts do a great job with making you feel comfortable and assisting you with what you need. If the school system does not help you or if you feel like you are not being assisted in the way you should, give your state education department a call. Good Luck!
