Some foods will have to work for diabetic kids too. They've been sick for days and are complaining about nothing but bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, and soup.
Depends on what kind of sick. Yogurt is sometimes helpful for bad tummys, something about the bacteria in there. Real juice popsicles can be a nice sugar boost while getting some vitamins in their body.
I usually try to ask them what they are craving.
If its not the stomach flu, giving them what they crave (exceptions of course)
and they are happy.
My son is diabetic and when he's sick (depends on sickness) he loves sugar-free popsicles, Soda crackers with little bit of PB and sugar free rice pudding that I make at home with cinnamon and Splenda.
