Hi everyone, ***(read this post if you want to know about mirena's side effects)*****
I had mirena in for about a period of 8 to 9 months and because of the horrible side-effects I removed it by myself(I don't recommend anyone to do as I did but everything came out fine). Mirena effects every women differently because for me it diminished my periods and I had a little spotting here and there but nothing to bad. It all depends on each woman's level of hormones, stress, etc. I will tell everyone that has recently had it inserted, it makes you gain weight like crazy! i went from being a small size 3 weighing 120lbs to now a size 9 almost 11 and weighing 156+lbs!!! I also started getting acne all over my face and a little bit on my back! It's so disgusting! I had never had acne, once in a blue moon I would have a zit but that was it! Mirena for me did work because I never became pregnant while on it but had I known the side effects to it I would have never had it inserted! IT MADE ME MOODY, DEPRESSED, **!!FAT!!**, ACNE BREAKOUTS, SOMETIME WITH NAUSEA!!!
I never had the continued bleeding but I've read other women's stories where they had that. There is a great question on this site all about the Mirena's side effects it has 9 pages of women's entries from at least 2007-today. Also there are tons of sites out there talking about the Mirena side effects. I've had mine out for 2 weeks and hoping I'll be feeling better soon. I've gained about 10lbs while I had mine in. I guess I was one of the luck ones my weight gain didn't start until I had the IUD in for about 1 1/2 years. Good luck.

The most common side effects listed are uterine/vaginal bleeding (including spotting, irregular bleeding, heavy bleeding, oligomenorrhea and amenorrhea) and ovarian cysts. These side effects are reported in about 10% of patients.
About 5% of patients reported such side effects as abdominal, pelvic, back or breast pain or tenderness, vaginal discharge, nausea, headaches, weight increase, acne, decreased libido, depressed mood, vulvovaginitis, dysmenorrhea and hypertension. The site also lists side effects experienced in less than 5% of the population.
Never forget that every individual can react differently to every drug, and to talk to your doctor if you're concerned about any negative side effects. online payday loan
