Wow... four babies, how sweet! I once attended a shower for a third time mommy that had everything. The hostesses of the shower bought her an adorable little red wagon (all three children's names were painting on it with some saying about Mom's gang or something like that) and they filled it with diapers, wipes and bath things.
We (the invited guests) received invitations that called it a "Stock the Changing Table" shower. They gave us an "essentials" list which included things like bath items, diapers (size 2 or 3), infant medicines, breastfeeding stuff, wipes and formula choice (powdered kind). It was a really great party!

PermalinkHonestly??? Gift certificates for a massage, babysitting gift certificates, pizza gift certificates...you get the idea
As a mom, I always appreciated someone with a sincere desire to physically help me than a material gift.

PermalinkI agree with the above. They call them baby cakes but basically there are a cake that is made entirely of diapers put together tied with a ribbon on each layer....google diaper cakes and it comes up....then after you tier it...imagine like a wedding cake (traditional) you put things like baby wipes, q -tips, soaps, powder, diaper cream, things that you cant hold onto from baby to baby and are very practical. Gift certificate to Super Suppers or Social Suppers that are places that make you dinners ahead of time that are frozen that have everything homemade like that are just wonderful. I am sure you have something similar where you live.
