Pregnancy after IUD

My husband and I are ready for another baby.  I am having my IUD removed on friday and I am wondering if anyone else has had an IUD and how easy was it to get pregnant once it's removed?  We have two kids, and both were VERY easily concieved.  But this is the first time I've had an IUD.  Any stories?  Adivce?  Thanks!

Only my IUD didn't come all the way out. It just came out enough to not work and I was 5 weeks preganant when I had to have the IUD removed. So my kids are 11 months apart because of it.

I had my IUD removed yesterday and we are trying for baby #3.  I would be curious to find out from others how long it took to concieve after the IUD was removed.  The info I ahve seen says after you complete your first cycle, bu tI am just curious how easy it was for actual people, not statistic from the IUD manufacturers.

Helpinkittanning...quads...WOW!!!  That would be exciting and terrifying all rolled up into one.  Hope you ahve a healthy pregnancy!

I had my Mirena IUD removed last week. We are trying for #4, hoping for a boy! I would like to also know if anybody has had quick success after having one for 4-5 years.

Ok, so I thought i would check back now.  I had my Merinia out January 22 this year.  I just found out I am pregnant, due in December!  Our conception date is right around March 29th.  My periods were pretty crazy the first few weeks but once they evened out we got pregnant right away, the first month of predictable ovulation.  So, hopefully everyone else has the same great results!!  Baby Dust to all!!

Thank goodness I haven't had any trouble with my IUD. I had mine removed in September of 2004 and was pregnant with Jennifer by March of 2005! She was born November of 2005!

Hope that helps!

Okay, I had an IUD inserted 4 years ago. It was removed on September 28th, I had my perioid on October 1, and have just taken a positive test, three weeks later...so it is defiantly possible to get pregnant immediatly after removal. I think it depends on how regular your cycle is - having the IUD removed made no difference to my cycle whatsoever - it came the same time as usual.

My husband and I are ready for baby # 3. So I will be removing my IUD next week, I too am curious about conception after having the IUD in place for 2 1/2 yrs. I hope it is easy because I am so ready to become pregnant again. Good luck to you.
