My husband has stones from time to time as well. It is extemely painful for him. It is my understanding that even young children can get them. Depending on the type she has (urologist must test stones) drinking lemonade may help prevent them.
Standing in a hot shoer (with water beating his back) seems to help them pass easier.
As far as the infection, I don't know. Could she have has an undiagnosed bladder infection that spread?
Goodluck to her and you.
I hope she is seeing a pediatric urologist though being as she is still a child.
