Interesting little tidbit about twins: they tend to be slightly healthier if both are girls
I thought this article was interesting. I want to stress that it says the difference is small (so as not to worry moms pregnant with two boys are mixed sex twins!) but apparently when the twins are both girls, they have a slight edge healthwise. You don't really hear about differences in health between boys and girls in single births, so I thought it was interesting that it can vary with twins.

What I want to know is how and why they decide to study these things. I'm thinking there's better places to put that money!
I think Cynthiab makes a really good point though-there probably are better things to put money towards studying. I mean, it's not like you can change having twin boys/one boy and girl to both girls, so what good does this study do really?
BUT, at the same time, you do have to think about these random studies because they're always discovering something......which actually leads to why they could be conducting this study to begin with or how they may have discovered this. Maybe they were studying something else and found this to be true
We just don't know, but, we do know that knowledge, in general, is a very wondeful and progressive thing. We must never stop discovering!
Thank you for this post, Patti! It brings up some interesting thoughts! And I'll tell two of my friends who have twin girls about it and it'll make them feel good!
