PermalinkUnless it's a huge deal on a big-ticket item I need, like a tv, there's no way you're going to find me fighting those crowds or getting up at 3 a.m. No way, no how. Half the stuff that's on sale on Black Friday will be marked down again, and sometimes even further, just before or just after Christmas. It is just not worth it to me. And seeing that man get stampeded to death at Walmart justified my decision.

PermalinkI hate malls and "big box" stores. I've been shopping locally for Christmas gifts. Yep, I'm getting deals, but ho, I won't go with the herds or mobs.
Black Friday to me is "Buy Nothing Day." The only thing we bought that day was a Christmas tree from a local farmer.
