Mary Glen and other various items

Well, we are back from our vacation to the beach for my birthday. We had a great time until Mary Glen woke up from her nap on Sunday afternoon and we discovered she had a severe sunburn on her face. Just the top part -- the sunscreen stick had gotten all over the bottom of her face (she thinks it's a lipstick). Anyway, after much beating up of myself BY myself, she's OK. We went to the dr. this morning and got more Silvadene, which is a prescription ointment they use on burn victims. Mary Medolia and Robert Evans had both recommended it, but now we have lots of it! She should be fine in a couple of days. Grrrrrrr! I can't believe I didn't something like that when I'm usually pretty fastidious about applying her sunscreen. I'm so glad she had on her full cover up swimsuit! Crying face

Other than that, I also "drowned" my phone in the diaper bag. Phone It wasn't in the side pocket as it should've been and Mark's water cup leaked and got it soaking wet. Completely ruined. So don't try to reach me on that until I let you all know I've got a new one that's working. Sad face

On Sunday morning I was in our bathroom at the hotel (we had 2 connecting rooms) brushing my hair and getting ready to go to the pool. Mary Glen was dancing around the rooms and then I heard "click". OH NO!!!!!!! I realized the second I Heard it that she had gone into their room and shut the connecting door. No big deal, I thought, I've got a key to their door. BUT I HAD LOCKED THE SAFETY BAR IN THEIR ROOM TO KEEP HOUSEKEEPING OUT!!!!! Doh! So a call to the Security department, the Manager on Duty, an Engineer and a special tool later, we got the door open. Mary Glen was standing there grinning ear to ear. I knew it would get open, but I felt so silly for having left the doors open without throwing the deadbolt (the way to keep the doors from closing permanently).

So, it was a memorable weekend. I won't be using those sunscreen sticks anymore -- or the spray. Mary Glen won't sit still long enough for them to get all over her face. I think I'm going to stick with the old "fill up your palm with sunscreen cream and mash it all over their faces and bodies" method from now on! My lips are sealed But I'm recovering and so is Mary Glen.

See you all at StrollerFit tomorrow. I won't be there on Friday since I am hosting the Babysitting Co-op at my house! But I should be there every day next week (October already!!!!!!)
