My name is Melissa and I often go by Mel but I don’t have a preference. I'm 35 years old and a first time mom. My son will be 7 weeks old on Monday so I just know we are only days away from that first smile. He smiles and giggles in his sleep constantly so we've had some great sneak peeks. His name is Jensen David. Jensen is a Nordic name to honor my husband’s ancestry.

Jamie, my dh, and I have been together since July 20, 2002. We are a match.com success story and it was love at first sight. We moved in together in September of the same year then decided to get married when we decided to have a baby. We married on the 4-year anniversary of that first date last year. We had a getaway wedding and went to Boston. It was a wonderful week. It was sort of a last hoorah! LOL. Jamie and I love to go to Irish pubs and try new beers so it was the perfect destination. We also started trying to get pregnant on the first day of the trip and while he was not a honeymoon baby we were pregnant with Jensen 23 days later.

Because of my age and the number of years I had been on birth control I had expected it to take some time. Soon after we returned from Boston I purchased a basal thermometer anticipating that I would need a little help. The funny part about that is that I was already 9 days pregnant the day I bought the thermometer! We found out we were pregnant really fast. My body told me right away with a dizzy heat flash, very tender breasts and MANY trips to the bathroom. I thought it couldn’t be already but I took a pregnancy test about 3 days before my period was due and it turned positive immediately.

I’m also a student on again off again since 1989. Still no bachelor’s degree but I’m only 5 classes away from finishing. I’m taking the summer off. Typically I take 2 classes per semester but I see no way I could possibly take 2 classes in the fall and keep up with an infant so I will need to drop to 1 class per semester. That means the Financial Aid folks will start hounding me soon. I’m not sure what I’ll do about that because we’re not ready to add that bill. When Jensen is 1 or 2 I will start a grad program probably in clinical psychology. I hope to eventually work with people in an institutional setting with severe eating disorders.

Jamie and I want me to be a stay at home mom until Jensen goes to school. We are considering having a second child so we would wait a little longer. I had a rough pregnancy toward the very end. I have chronic hypertension for which I’ve taken meds for about 9 years. At the end of my pregnancy my bp was typically 180/110 and went as high as 203/121. At week 36 I had some protein in my urine but my doc said it was still in the ok range. On my Monday 37-week visit, after spending Thursday and Friday of the previous week in labor in delivery with blood pressure and swelling problems, my doc said, “let’s have a baby.” I thought she was going to make me wait until week 38 so we were really surprised. Jensen was full breech so I had to have a C-Section. Jensen David joined the world with a loud wail at 5:49 pm.

That’s probably enough to get us started. Ask me questions, please! I hope to get to know everyone. Oh, I guess I should say where we live, lol! We’re in Liberty, TN. We're about 1 hour from Nashville and 40 minutes from Murfreesboro and Lebanon.  We go to Murfreesboro a lot because there is NOTHING where I am. Nothing, that is, other than some incredibly beautiful country.

Yep, we met on Match.com.  It was just in time too.  I was on a 30 day free trial and had no intentions of paying for a membership because I was on a super tight budget.  Jamie contacted me the day before I was going to cancel my account.  LOL.  It was meant to be!  I'm still very much in love nearly 5 years later.  I had no idea that the "in love" feeling could be maintained.  It's awesome!

I live in Gulfport Mississippi with my three children and my wonderful husband. My husbands name is Jon and he is 33 and he works for a paving company. My children names and ages are Adam 10, Ashley 8 and kathryn 6 months. I do have another son but he lives in Michigan with his father. I am currently a stay a home mom who goes to school full time to get my associates degree in business.

My husband and I have been together almost 6 yrs, although we have only been married about a year. July 2nd is our anniversary.

I am a 36 year old SAHM and part-time WAHM to 2 kids, Rebecca 3 and Brandon almost 2.  I'm hoping to pop at least one more out before I decide to go back to work!  But I'm not planning to do that for a few more years.

Me & my kids love to get out and be active.  My daughter makes friends so easily.  My son is kind of a loner.  So I guess it's true that they say no 2 kids are just alike.  My kids are like night and day.

I have been a member on Mother's Click for about 5 months now and I love it!  I started a Mom's group on here and we are the greatest group in our area!
