Sleeping Arrangements

Ah, the dreaded subject! How many co-sleepers out there? We have it set up so that either my husband or I spend the night in our almost 2 year old son's bed in his room (it's a full-size bed). Yes, he still drinks at least 2-3 bottles (1-2 before bed and then 1 at 5 or 6 AM. In general it works out okay for us.

We are a pediatrician's worst nightmare!

I was inspired to create the Reading Kaboodle™ to encourage my sons to read and enjoy reading. Growing up as a Cambodian refugee in Maine and raised by a mother who only knew Khmer, I struggled to speak and read English. Although I initially struggled, I soon realized how empowering and exciting reading could be. I wanted to instill this sentiment in my children.

Mirena IUD

I got the Mirena IUD Oct 2007. I had a copper IUD before this one for 10 years. I have always used IUD's and have never taken a birth control pill. When I went in to have another IUD put in my Dr suggested the Mirena. I wondered why he would want me to change since I have had such good luck with the one I had.

I was looking up side effects and I started to read your experiences. They are the same as mine. I was fine the first few months then I started blacking out, feeling light headed, very hot, racing heart, and even throwing up. Everyone around me thinks I have a bug but its been months, and I'm to the point where I'm calling my doctor to get it removed.

Triangle API Fall Festival! Giving Our Children Presence

The North Carolina Triangle API group is having a fall festival.
