What are you and your family doing to help the environment?
Tomorrow is Earth Day, and for many moms and families it's a reminder that the planet we share is precious and we need to take care of it. I thought this would be the perfect time for all of us to share some great tips on how your family is going green!
For us, recycling is huge. I feel like we recycle EVERYTHING! Our kids are so used to throwing away paper and plastic in the "recycling" garbage that they sometimes forget not to put food in there too!
What are you doing?

Hi!
I make my own homemade baby food - and I cook from whole foods. It saves on packaging and money!

We started using cloth diapers, and they are much easier than you think. Plus they are better for baby's skin. We are so happy with our decision to CD baby!
We also bring our own bags to the grocery store. Some grocery stores are now charging extra for a plastic bag, so we by bringing our own we are doing something good for the environment and our pocketbooks.
We spend more time outdoors these days. I feel that this saves on electricity bills. Since it's getting a little cooler, we bought ourselves a fire pit: http://firepitsnow.com/allfp-14107621-B000WU8OJM-UniFlame_WAD820SP_34_In...
My kids are somehow very entertained by this. Cheap thrills!
