Swine Flu and You

Categories:

Hi moms, one of our greatest concerns this fall and winter is the swine flu (also known as H1N1). There is a lot of information out there and a lot of us are trying to figure out what is best for our families.

We've created a super quick survey to find out what our community of moms thinks about this ever growing epidemic. Please take a minute to share your thoughts. We promise to share the results with you all.

Thanks!!

I wasn't really worried about swine flu because we work from home and my son is older, but lately it's been working its way through the Los Angeles area and more and more people I know are coming down with hefty flu symptoms. Don't know if these are all the same flu but it's scary.

I'm just frustrated because I know it's important to get the vaccine and there seems to be no way I can get it at the moment. My community had a clinic where they were doing the nasal mist the other day but I couldn't do that because pregnant women can't have the live virus contained in that version. I'm on a wait list at both my OB's and my general practicioner's offices. I have a feeling it's not going to come available until after the peak of the flu season, at which point it seems a little silly to get it.

I was worried about the swine flu vaccine, but then I looked up on a pregnancy web site and it gave me the number the the Teratogen Information Service, and they were able to answer all my questions and concerns I had about the vaccine. I would really suggest calling them with any consiner. Their number is 18007334727. They are also very friendly and it is all confidential!

Yes, Teratogen Information Services are the place to turn with any questions about safety of vaccines, medications or other exposures during pregnancy. Information specialists or/and genetic counselors usually answer questions. There are services throughout the country. People can also call 1-866-626-6847 or go to www.otispregnancy.org. to find a service for their state.

Our 11 year old daughter just finished up with the flu.  She was out of school for 1 week with a fever, cough, and congestion.  It passed uneventfully and she is back in school today.  We didn't have her tested so it might have been the seasonal flu and not H1N1. We hadn't decided about vaccinations yet.  My husband and I usually do get the regular flu shot each year.

Stay Healthy Everyone!

I'm reposting this information in several posts with this sort of topic, so if you see it more than once, don't be surprised.

It really hurts/bothers me that so many people are suffering with this issue, when there is present help available and they aren't being told.

There is a natural alternative available to not only protect but to increase the immune system up to 437%, but unfortunately, the medical community will never inform the general public of this alternative because they cannot profit from it. This natural alternative is listed in the PDR, physician's desk reference manual, but again, it's not going to help them make money if you are well. They are in the business of sickness.

Since this natural alternative builds up the immune system, it would then be able to defend your body at a higher level, attacking any invaders. Your immune system is compromised if any invader is attacking your body successfully. You do not want your immune system to remain in a compromised state, because as such, you could be suseptible to not only any viruses or bacterial strains from external sources, but also from any such invader you may have a proclivity towards (such as cancer) because of hereditary family history.

If you read the information on that site, you will see that there is another way to protect both yourself and your family. If you have questions after viewing the information, feel free to contact me, and I will try to answer any questions you have.

I'd also suggest that if you want more info on the science behind this, google Dr. Sheppard Lawrence, who was a well known immunologist that first made the discovery of this process in 1949. You can also find the information about him here: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/04/08/nyregion/h-sherwood-lawrence-87-immuno... This is nothing new; its just not being utilized by the medical community because they don't profit from wellness, but from sickness. Peace and blessings to all.

Correction: Dr. Sherwood Lawrence made the discovery. You can get more info here, and here, and check this testimony.

There is a lot of bad info out there! Dr Tim O'Shea is an expert on the swine flu vaccine. Read the 3 articles about swine flu (N1H1) on his website. Make an informed decision after you listen for free to his radio interview from November 2009:
