My toddlers finally listen

I am so excited I can barely contain myself. My name is Paige, and I live in Rhode Island. I am 32, married, and have two young children three(boy) and five(girl). Being a stay at home mom I had grand ideas about how well "my" children would behave. Let me tell you reality is a bit tougher. I was doing some home improvement recently and came across something that has changed my kids.
While looking for window boxes for my house I stumbled on these awesome banks that have a clear front so the kids can see their money. Well I ran right home and couldn't wait to make some sort of reward chart. I can't really take the credit though, I bought a thing called "I did my chores" from the Lakeside Collection. Well I tweaked it a bit and put a value on each chore. IT WORKED!! I am so happy. Every night, the kids and I go through their completed chores and I give them pennies they earned. They love seeing their bank fill up, and are now asking me for chores to do!
I wish I would have had this when my daughter was two or three. Thes things are such a great idea. The guy that makes them has a website called cilibertoswoodworking.com I will be giving one of those banks to my sister for a shower gift. She will be a new mom this summer.
