Mirena IUD side effects??? Or am I crazy?

I guess its not like it really matters anymore. But I had my IUD removed this morning because of the God awful side effects I was having from it. PMS all the time, bad acne on my face and back, and worst of all I gained 20 lbs!! I only had it for one year, and I know the IUD was the culprit. None of it started till a few months after I got it.

I have read previous comments on side effects of the Mirena IUD, and I've pretty much experienced all of them! The weight gain is my biggest issue, had my thyroid checked a handful of times and thats all normal, but put on about 30 pounds which is NOT like me. Its also very painful to have sex in most positions and I bleed after everytime and am also very crampy after sex aswell.

i got my IUD  removed 4 days ago, after 3 years of HELL... you name the side effect and i had it... my DR. told me that what i was feeling was not from the iud that if it was i would have had side effects much sooner, anyway i told my .DR.

I have had my IUD since February of 2009 and have just started breaking out with hives everyday here recently.  I sometimes wake up with them and they usually start appearing in the evenings.  Has anyone experienced this type of reaction while using the Mirena IUD?

Have had mirena IUD since December 08.  For the last three months I have been having very painful cramps everytime I have my period.  I have also developed an itchy rash all over my body which comes and goes (not sure if this is connected).  Has anyone experienced any ot these symptoms on the Mirena.  Thank you.
