This is a family favorite. My kids love these colorful pancakes.
Uber Moist Turkey Burgers
These turkey burgers are a great healthy alternative to higher cholesterol and calorie hamburgers. They are moist and make a great treat for a weekend bbq. You can also substitute the mix for turkey meatloaf or mini turkey burgers for appetizers!
Easy Chili
This chili is perfect for a winter night and can be made in a flash! I got this recipe from my Grandma Bea and tweaked it a little. I always serve this with cornbread. Leftovers freeze perfectly as well.
Couscous
Prep time: 5 minutes
Yield: 6 c., or 4 side dishes for adults and 3 main dishes for kids (with plenty left for seconds)
I love couscous because it only takes 5 minutes to prepare, and it produces a large quantity of food. This recipe makes a great side dish at family meals or a main dish for kids. Serve with tabasco if you like a little kick to it.
Quinoa with apple, celery, carrot and walnut
Prep time: 5 mins
Yield: 3 c., serves 2 kids generously and one hungry mom
Kids love this grain dish, it's very colourful with a hint of sweetness from the apple. Leave out the nuts if you have any nut allergies. Quinoa is very simple to cook and it's quick as well, ready in 25 minutes!
MamaKraft's Mexican Lasagna
A flavor packed family favorite. This is a no-fail recipe - because you can really put anything in it that you want. Substitute the chicken with beef, peppers or olives rather than tomatoes, Velveeta instead of pepperjack -- whatever you have on hand. I let me kids help -- and that makes it interesting.
