Working Mom
Working Mom
I am a mother of two kiddos. Madi is 4 and Austin is 3. Both hubby and I work and so when we get home it's always a bit chaotic to get dinner on the table, read books and off to bed. The weekends are precious and we strive for the most family time we can get!
I work in the construction industry, am a professional model and photographer. My husband also works in construction and loves to steal time on his guitar whenever he can. My daughter is very bright and quite the daredevil. My son (also a daredevil) is sweet and sensetive and as cute as they come. I juggle everyday to keep the balance between my interests, my jobs, my family and my marriage. As of late my hubby and I have really tried to make note that our marriage is most important. Because sometimes it can certainly take the back burner!

It is great that you notice it!
Make your marriage a priority because your children need to see that too. That gives them a great deal of confidence!

PermalinkI see you have the working mom sindrome! I did that too. We are all masters at multitasking, but we often find that there is never enough time in our day to do everything. We want the time we spend with our children to be special, filled with love and not confrontation.
I decided I had to put a stop to the madness one day. I looked in stores and online for help with setting a schedule or routine. There were mountains of research and books that highlighted how children crave structure and how important it is to set routines for them, but there were no products on the market that had everything I was looking for – something that a young child would understand and own.
I read things like on PBS http://www.pbs.org/wholechild/provid...
"Children thrive in a well-ordered and predictable environment, where daily routines such as arrivals and departures, mealtimes, nap times and toileting are dealt with consistently by all caregivers. Daily routines provide opportunities for children to learn more about themselves, the world and other people. Daily routines also offer children a sense of stability, and a feeling of warmth and caring "
I decided to create my own tool for her and now I have just made it avalaible for other moms at http://www.milestoneparenting.com/pr...
It is easy to use and works like a charm!
