"Mom, Your Knees Are Old"
So here I am, screaming toward my 35th birthday and hating every minute of it. I don't know why but 35 bothers me way more than 30 did. I was the same way at 25. It's the mid-decade crisis. I guess it's that I'm leaving my early thirties behind and will now be in my LATE thirties and thus, nearly 40. That's what bothers me. It's like the end of another era.

MothersClick Announcement
Dear members:
We are pleased to announce that ParentsClick Network, the "parent" company of MothersClick, was acquired by Lifetime Entertainment (website). They are owned 50/50 by Disney and Hearst, brands we know, we like and trust.
This is incredibly exciting news for all of us here at MothersClick, and we hope you'll share our enthusiasm! Unlike some of our competitors, this deal does not signal the end but rather a bold new beginning for us. Our goal remains the same: to build the greatest online parenting community, and the only changes you'll see to our site will be improvements.
In the months ahead, you'll find various upgrades and all sorts of fun and useful new features rolling out, all designed to make our sites even better for our users.
We remain committed to you, moms (and dads) everywhere, and will continue to work hard to deliver an engaging and useful community. As a partner, Lifetime shares our passion and will help us achieve much more, much faster. We look forward to the road ahead!
If you ever have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us. We listen to our users, and always welcome constructive feedback.
Thank you all for your membership and support, and for spreading the good word about MothersClick.
Best regards,
The MothersClick Team

And such is the life of a single mom
![]()
i never got back did I? And such is the life of a single mom. Especially one who has chosen to still try attachment parenting whilst allowing someone else to parent her child 4 days a week. Which means that I tend to keep B by my side the entire 3 days that I have her.

The Giving Village
Last fall when I was eight months pregnant with my second child, I precariously hoisted up my two year old onto the bird’s nest vantage point of a local playground’s jungle gym. While up there, running around with the other kids, he slipped, fell and cut his lip.

The Olympics? Nah, I'm Good Thanks
My kids like sports and do a lot of them. Mostly I like that sports tire them out so they go to bed early and don't bug me during the night. Last weekend they did a kiddie triathlon (see pic!) and they just wrapped up two weeks of a fantastic sports camp run by a local University.

Insomnia
I couldn’t sleep last night. Normally not such a big deal – but I’m a mommy to a six week old, hence the need for me to mention it.

I have to admit as a registered republican, I wasn't thrilled about our choices of candidates this year. Wow...shocker!
